Maya is a Claims Operations Supervisor at HLS and joined the firm during the summer of 2020. Her day-to-day tasks include training and supervising paralegals and attorneys, overseeing administrative duties, making hiring decisions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and legislation, and updating clients on firm progress. Through this role, Maya works with HLS clients to ensure that our internal processes for working outsourced claims best reflect their billing needs and protocols. She specializes in authorization and technical denials, inpatient denials, and other complex claims issues. Maya enjoys researching claims issues to fine-tune our approach to appealing the claims outsourced to us and presents these findings to our clients.

Outside of HLS, Maya enjoys hiking, reading, and searching for the best bagels in D.C!
