Vardan began his career with HLS as a paralegal before being promoted to IT Manager. In his current role, he is in charge of connecting to client and payer systems to download and import information necessary for HLS functions, including medical records, payment data, and system notes. He has set up numerous computer programs to automate aspects of this process, and is responsible for running and troubleshooting those programs, as well as training and supervising other members of HLS’ IT team and interfacing with IT contractors.
Before he joined the team at HLS, Vardan provided logistical support and consulting services to Athgo International, a nonprofit devoted to technology and entrepreneurship. He previously did similar work for another nonprofit, CRDF Global, which focuses on science and innovation, and interned in the Van Nuys (CA) office of Congressman Howard Berman.
