Gabrielle Devendorf joined HLS in the fall of 2019. She represents healthcare facilities nationwide in resolving claim denials from Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurers. Her practice focuses on appealing a range of denials, including statutory and contractual underpayments, various technical denials, and denials based on medical necessity. Additional experience includes resolution of payment issues related to the coordination of benefits, Medicare Advantage plan underpayments pursuant to federal law, and post-service audits.

Gabrielle holds a bachelor’s degree in biology. Prior to attending law school, she managed patients’ Medicaid accounts at an outpatient mental health office. During law school, Gabrielle interned at law firms and universities, where she worked on a variety of health law and intellectual property matters. Her longstanding passion for healthcare led her to pursue a career in the health law field.
