Sam has served in several different roles at HLS over the years. He began his career as a Paralegal before rising to Manager of Operations. Currently, as a Business Analyst, he focuses on performing root cause analysis and other special projects to help clients reduce their rate of denials. He performs qualitative and quantitative analysis, researches healthcare management scholarship, and writes detailed narrative reports in order to provide clients with comprehensive explanations and actionable recommendations to address the challenges they face.

Sam has also worked as a standardized test tutor, a freelance writer, and a consultant to a Washington, DC trade association. His first ever job was washing dishes at his aunt’s waterfront diner in his hometown of Portland, ME.
