Cameron’s areas of expertise at HLS include appealing denied claims on behalf of providers and resolving provider disputes through communications with insurance companies. He leads the firm’s Independent Review Organization (IRO) project for Maryland MCO ED medical necessity denials, evaluating denied claims that are upheld by MCOs on appeal to determine whether a submission to the IRO is warranted. He also supports Operations Managers in the day-to-day management of firm and participates in the recruitment, training, and management of new paralegals.
Before coming to HLS, Cameron worked as a research assistant in psychology laboratories and as a teaching assistant in a neuroscience course at the University of Chicago. He also conducted legal research and took notes on court proceedings while interning for a judge in his hometown of New Orleans, LA.
